New theme

From now on, I will only be posting about Children's Poetry. I enjoy childrens poetry and find it very cute, espically when an author illustrates the book with cute pictures! I enjoy humour in childrens poetry and also how some poems teach a lesson to children.

Poetry for a younger audience

When I was young, my favrouite poet was Shel Silverstein, who wrote many books such as The Giving Tree, Where The Sidewalk Ends, and The Light in The Attic. All of his books are nicely illustrated. I find poems such as "Falling Up", "Boa Constrictor" and "Where the Sidewalk ends" very humorus. Here is a link with various poems from Shel:

Small Poems

I really enjoy the poetry on this site. I like how the poetry is divided into seasons, and each poem really captures the feeling of each season. The poems are short which is a nice change from some very long poems I have come across. The poems depict each season very well, which is probably why they are a pleasure to read. I recommend for anyone who likes nature to visit! After reading most of the poetry, I decided I like Bubbling Place the best from this author, you can find this poem at the left side of the page after clicking on a season. I would rate this blog as excellent.
